A resin (3D printed) accessory set in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Reskit. It is not a model on its own but a group of front and rear towing horns with chains for the Israeli tank Merkava Mk.3. The set replaces the simplified parts from the kit with more faithful resin castings. It is based on the dimensions of the Meng or Hobby Boss kits.
The towing horns serve to tow and recover the vehicle, and on the real tank they are among the prominent elements of the front and the rear of the hull. Finely printed horns with chains look more faithful than thicker plastic parts and are a rewarding detail that draws the eye both when looked at from close up and in a diorama.
Wash the remains of uncured resin off the printed parts, cut the print supports off and sand the fine parts carefully with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The chains and the horns come out after being painted in a metal shade, given a dark wash and gone over lightly with a dry brush; suggest the scuffed places with graphite.
This is an add-on resin set, not a standalone model. The base Merkava Mk.3 kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
