About product

Su-17 / Su-22 - Instrument Panel 1:48 (Yahu Models)

This is not an airplane kit but a detail accessory for the cockpit - a color, pre-printed photo-etched instrument panel for the Su-17 and the export Su-22. The panel is built up from several laminated etched layers, which give it real depth, and the dials are printed in color and coated with a gloss varnish imitating the glass covers. It is fitted in place of the plastic or decal panel from the kit.

The real subject

The Su-17 was a Soviet single-engine attack aircraft and fighter-bomber with a variable-geometry (variable-sweep) wing. The export version carried the designation Su-22 and the code name Fitter, known worldwide. The aircraft served in many air forces and went through a series of upgrades to its cockpit and equipment.

Usage tips

Carefully separate the panel from the fret, shape it gently if needed and glue it on with a small drop of super glue or a clear adhesive. Try the shape dry beforehand so that it sits exactly in the cockpit.

Who it is for

  • modelers who want to detail a cockpit faithfully
  • builders of Su-17 / Su-22 models in 1:48 scale
  • those who do not want to paint tiny dials by hand

This is an accessory for the cockpit, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
