Decals for Luftwaffe color schemes are included. Thanks to the size of the real aircraft the finished model has a respectable wingspan.
The Ju 290 was a four-engined long-range maritime reconnaissance and transport aircraft of the Luftwaffe whose design grew out of the prewar Junkers Ju 90 airliner. It was powered by four radial engines and, thanks to its long range, it served over the Atlantic to find Allied convoys and direct submarines onto them. It was among the largest aircraft the Luftwaffe operated during the war; the A-5 and A-7 versions differed in equipment and defensive armament.
Given the size and the number of parts, we suggest building in sections and dry-fitting the fuselage and wings carefully before gluing. It pays to paint the interior and the open turrets and pick them out before closing the fuselage. Work with a thin cement for plastic and spray the extensive areas with an airbrush; bring out the typical maritime camouflage by sketching the transitions first and with a fine wash. Because of the wingspan, count on having enough space for the finished model.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
