A detailed injection-molded plastic kit of the British combat aircraft Panavia Tornado GR.1 in RAF configuration in 1:72 scale from the brand Revell. The set offers generous contents - movable variable-sweep wings, a well-worked cockpit with an ejection seat, a detailed landing gear and extensive armament and stores including bombs, guided missiles and drop tanks. A large decal sheet is included too. It is a more demanding build for which experience of gluing and painting is useful.
The Panavia Tornado was a multirole combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed in cooperation between Great Britain, Germany and Italy. The GR.1 variant was the British strike version intended for attacks on ground targets in all weathers and at low altitude. The combination of low-level penetration, accurate navigation and a heavy load made it one of the mainstay strike platforms of the RAF.
Finish and paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before closing the fuselage. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement, and assemble the movable wings so that they stay working. After spraying the base, paint the model with an airbrush according to the RAF camouflage scheme you choose and pick out the panel lines with a fine wash. Paint the stores and the armament separately.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
