Responsibility details are not available.
Revell 86 Olive brown is a synthetic enamel paint on a solvent base in a bottle of 14 ml. The shade corresponds to RAL 7008 and has a matte finish. It is not an acrylic and it is not thinned with water — use Revell Color Mix, or mineral spirits. The paint does not attack the surface of modeling plastic and is applied with a brush and with an airbrush. Note: it is a modeling paint, not a kit.
86 Olive brown stands between green and brown in shade — it is a muted field color. Against the neutral 85 Brown it is cooler and greener, against 87 Earth brown less earthy and less dusty. When you are painting a military object (a vehicle, a uniform, equipment), 86 is the right choice; when you are painting mud and dirt, reach for 87.
Stir the paint honestly before use — the pigment settles to the bottom. Apply it in two thin coats instead of one heavy one, and thin it with Revell Color Mix for the airbrush. Earthy shades are the basis for weathering — combine them with a wash and a dry brush, and never stop at a flat coat. Clean brushes with a cleaner for enamels, not with water.
For modelers of military vehicles, figure painters and diorama builders who need a muted olive brown in enamel.
Safety: a flammable liquid. It irritates the respiratory tract — work in a well-ventilated area and use respiratory protection when spraying. Keep out of the reach of children and away from sources of ignition. It is not a product for small children.
