A detail set from the Czech manufacturer HGW for completing the cockpit of the British Hawker Hurricane fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a separate accessory. The belts are made of fine fabric microfiber, and the buckles and fittings are photo-etched. The result looks faithful thanks to the natural sag of the fabric.
The Hawker Hurricane was the British fighter that carried the main weight of the Battle of Britain. Its cockpit used the restraint system typical of RAF machines; the set reproduces the shoulder and lap belts that held the pilot in place. It suits Hurricane models whose interior is visible under the canopy.
The laser-cut fabric belts are shaped over the edge of a tool into a realistic sag and fixed with cyanoacrylate glue. Glue the photo-etched buckles spot by spot. The fabric is pre-printed, so a gentle accent of the shadows and a discreet patina is enough.
This is an accessory set, not an airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
