A plastic kit of the Canadian AVGP Husky (Early Version) in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter: the Canadian wheeled armored vehicle of the AVGP series in its early form.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Canadian wheeled armored vehicle AVGP Husky in its early form, 1:35 scale, made by Trumpeter. The set holds parts for the upper as well as the lower hull, wheels with a tread pattern and clear parts for the windows and periscopes; the model is built unassembled and unpainted.
The Husky belongs to the family of Canadian AVGP (Armoured Vehicle General Purpose) vehicles, which besides it took in the Cougar and Grizzly types. The vehicles grew out of the Swiss MOWAG Piranha concept in a 6x6 layout and entered service with the Canadian army in 1976. The Husky served as a repair and recovery vehicle with a crane and support equipment, while the Cougar carried a turret with a gun and the Grizzly filled the role of carrier.
With wheeled armored vehicles, pay attention to the fit of the running gear and to the correct seating of the wheels, so that the model stands level on all its axles. Glue the joints in the plastic with thin modeling cement, and apply a base coat (primer) before painting. You will bring the Canadian olive green scheme to life with gentle lightening of the edges by dry-brushing, bring out the recesses with a dark wash and dust the lower hull with pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
