Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of decals meant for models of the early versions of the Messerschmitt Bf 109, specifically the B and D-1 forms, in 1:72 scale. These are the markings themselves, that is an accessory to a finished plastic model, not a kit. The early Bf 109 are among the most rewarding subjects of prewar aviation, because their finishes differ markedly from the later wartime machines.
The Bf 109 B, nicknamed Berta, was the first series-produced version of the famous fighter. It was powered by a Jumo 210 V12 engine, had a wooden two-blade propeller and only light machine-gun armament. It was exactly these machines that went through their baptism of fire in Spain and showed that the all-metal monoplane concept with an enclosed cockpit and retractable landing gear had a clear advantage over biplanes. The D-1 version, designated Dora, was a later prewar form of the same development line with a more powerful engine and modified equipment. It served as a transitional type before the versions with the Daimler-Benz engine took the production over in full, and some of the machines finished their service with training and night units.
Before applying them, varnish the areas with a gloss varnish, so that no air is left under a decal. Trim the marking close to the artwork, soak it in warm water and move it into place with a brush. On covers and engraved lines use a softener. At the end the model is varnished with a matte or semi-matte varnish, which blends the edges of the carrier film with the surface.
