A figure of a construction worker with back pain in 1:35 scale from MAiM: a humorous moment known to anyone who has ever lifted a bag of cement.
Responsibility details are not available.
A figure of a construction worker whose back has just given out, in 1:35 scale. Where most figures work or pose, this one tells a joke without words, the moment when a man puts a hand to his lower back and forgets the shovel for a second. Figures like this are exactly what turns a technically good diorama into a scene the viewer remembers.
Stand him beside bags of cement, pallets or a concrete mixer and the story tells itself: hard work has taken its toll. He works superbly paired with other worker figures, because the contrast between colleagues at work and one who is just straightening his back adds dynamics and humor to the picture. He comes into his own on a building site, in a warehouse, in a yard and while loading a truck.
Wash the casting, clean it up and give it a coat of primer. Working clothes take bold colors, because a high-visibility vest or overalls will light a whole scene up, while a wash in the folds and a dry brush on the edges add volume. It pays to paint the face with its grimace of pain carefully, because that is what carries the point of the figure. Dusty boots and knees sell a full day's toil.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted, meant to be cleaned up and painted; paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
