Eduard 1:48 Sukhoi Su-27 TFace is a masking set which, thanks to the TFace designation, covers the glazing of the model from the outer and the inner side. It is not a kit but an accessory for the build.

The set contains pre-cut masks from kabuki type masking tape for a model of the Su-27 fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. The abbreviation TFace in the name marks the version for double-sided masking, that is masks for both the outer and the inner side of the glazing. Masking from the inside comes in useful when you want the canopy frames painted in the interior color on the inside as well, which is clearly visible on the large canopy of the Su-27. The package contains neither a model nor paints.
The Su-27 is a Soviet twin-engine heavy fighter aircraft from the Sukhoi design bureau, designated Flanker in the NATO code. The prototype of the T-10 series flew in 1977 and production machines were entering service in the middle of the eighties. The airframe, with the fuselage blending smoothly into the wing and a pair of engines in separate nacelles, carries a large volume of fuel, which gives the aircraft considerable range. The cockpit with its large glazing is one of the most conspicuous places on a model.
Stick the inner masks onto the glazing parts before you glue them into the fuselage, and paint the frames in the interior shade. The outer masks come into play when spraying the camouflage. Always degrease the surface, press the mask down through a stick and apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge. Glue the glazing with canopy glue or with a clear white glue; cyanoacrylate glue can fog a clear part.
The set contains neither a kit nor paints. Check that the masks match the kit you are building, because they are cut to the shape of the parts of a particular model.
