A set of injection-molded plastic figures in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker Master Box, from the range devoted to the Russian-Ukrainian war. It depicts the defenders of Kharkiv in March 2022 in dynamic poses of urban fighting. Period weapons, equipment and accessories go with the figures. It is a multi-figure scene set suitable for dioramas.
The fighting for Kharkiv in north-eastern Ukraine was among the first major clashes after the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022. The second largest Ukrainian city faced artillery bombardment and attempts to push into the built-up areas, and its defense became a symbol of resistance. The figures are based on the uniforms and equipment of Ukrainian units of this period.
The parts are separated from the sprues and joined with cement for plastic; it is worth filling and sanding the parting seams. For painting, acrylic or enamel paints applied with a brush or an airbrush work well; faces and uniforms stand out after highlighting with glazes, filters and dry brushing. Modern pixel camouflage patterns are easier to paint in layers, from the base color up to the highlights.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included, unless stated otherwise.
