A plastic kit of the MiG-23MF fighter in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov, in a release focused on the users from the Warsaw Pact states.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-23 is a single-engine fighter with a variable-geometry wing. The pilot could change the sweep angle in flight and so combine acceptable takeoff and landing behavior with high speed in combat. The MF version was intended for export and in the 1970s and 1980s it formed the backbone of the fighter forces of a number of European states.
This boxing is focused on machines of the users from the Warsaw Pact states. With this type in particular the choice of markings tends to be varied, because the individual air forces used different shades of finish and different ways of applying the insignia.
It is a classic injection-molded polystyrene kit meant for gluing and painting, together with decals and instructions. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
It suits a modeler with basic experience who is interested in Cold War aviation. The model is also rewarding in a display case, because the swept wing gives the silhouette an unmistakable shape. You will make the build easier by trying the parts dry beforehand.
Paints, glue and tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
