A set of seals for the 186 series airbrushes from Fine Art serves to restore the seal of the gun. It cures escaping air and paint leaking into the body of the airbrush.

A set of spare sealing elements for the 186 series airbrush guns from Fine Art. Seals are small but essential components in an airbrush: they keep the paint in the paint path, the air in the air path and make sure the two do not meet where they should not. After long use, and above all after repeated cleaning with aggressive thinners, seals harden, shrink and stop doing their job.
Replacing the seals is an ordinary service job that you can manage at home. Take the gun apart according to the manufacturer's instructions, remove the old seal carefully and seat the new one without forcing it: plastic and rubber elements must not be stretched over sharp edges. Before reassembly, clean the mating faces of any dried paint. Treat the moving parts lightly with a lubricant made for airbrushes; ordinary oils or petroleum jelly can damage some seals. Once it is back together, try the gun first with thinner alone and only then with paint.
For owners of a Fine Art 186 series airbrush who want to keep the gun in condition, and for anyone who uses a gun regularly: seals belong among the consumable parts alongside the needle and the nozzle, and replacing them in good time keeps the gun working.
Before buying, check that the set matches your particular gun. Sealing elements are not interchangeable between makers or between individual series.
