A set of color schemes and markings in the ordinary gray form of the F-16 Fighting Falcon for the caricature model of the Hasegawa Egg range.
Responsibility details are not available.
The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-seat light fighter with a bubble cockpit canopy and a single belly air intake. On service machines a gray finish in several shades predominates, meant to suppress the aircraft against the sky; what is colorful on them is above all the markings on the tail surface and the lettering on the fuselage.
The Hasegawa Egg range are caricature models: the fuselage is shortened into an egg shape, the cockpit and the nose are enlarged, and the wings and tail surfaces are small by contrast. They therefore do not reduce the subject faithfully, and no scale is given for them. That makes a clean finish and precisely placed markings all the more decisive for the result. A small area moreover forgives fewer mistakes, because the whole model is seen at once at first glance.
The set offers gray color schemes and markings for an F-16 model from the Hasegawa Egg range. How many variants are available and where exactly the individual elements belong is shown in the manufacturer's instructions. If this is a decal sheet, follow its instructions; before you soak the elements, check in the instructions whether they are not self-adhesive, because a soaked self-adhesive film is irreversibly ruined, whereas a wet decal can be soaked even later.
It suits a modeler who wants an egg-shaped F-16 in a finish close to service machines, and a collector of the Egg range. Whether a model kit is part of the package should be verified against the manufacturer's data on the packaging; paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
