Intake covers (FOD) for the F-4 Phantom II 1:32 are a 3D-printed resin set of intake covers for a large model of this fighter.

A detailed 3D-printed resin set of intake duct covers (FOD covers) in 1:32 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that follows exactly the intake geometry of one particular plastic F-4 Phantom II model in the large scale. In practice the covers were fitted to a parked aircraft to keep foreign objects out of the engines (Foreign Object Damage).
Fitted covers give a model of a Phantom standing on a flight deck or a ramp an authentic parked look and at the same time neatly close off the intakes, which tend to be a problem area on models. They are usually finished in a bright color with Remove Before Flight lettering.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, separate them from the print supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. A markedly red coat and lettering refined from period photographs are recommended.
The set contains detail parts only and is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
