This set is NOT a tank model but a set of accessories for the plastic kit of the American M4 Sherman medium tank in the early production version, 1:48 scale. It contains fine parts of resin and photo-etched metal from the Italian maker Royal Model, which will replace the simplified plastic elements with more accurate detail and raise the realism of the finished model. An assembly instruction sheet is usually included. The target kit is the one from Tamiya.
The M4 Sherman was the most widespread American medium tank of the Second World War. The early production versions can be recognized among other things by the shape of the hull, the arrangement of the hatches and the cast elements; the set aims precisely at refining these characteristic details.
Wash the resin parts clean of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and clean them up (protect your breathing). Bend the photo-etched parts over an edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay down a base coat before painting; the weathering is created with washes and pigments.
This is an additional set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
