A plastic kit of the British cruiser tank Cromwell IV in 1:76 scale from Airfix. The injection-molded set in gray plastic contains the parts of the model, one-piece plastic tracks and a decal sheet with two marking options. Optional parts are usually included too, for example deep wading equipment and a hedgerow cutter.
The Cromwell, officially Cruiser Tank Mk VIII, was one of the most successful British tanks of the Second World War. It stood out for the high speed and mobility given by its Rolls-Royce Meteor engine. It first went into action after the landings in Normandy in June 1944, where it equipped above all the reconnaissance regiments of the armored divisions. Thanks to its speed and reliability it proved itself in rapid moves and in pursuit, and it stayed in service after the end of the war too.
Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement and fit the one-piece tracks once the running gear is assembled. Line up the running gear before closing the hull. After spraying the primer, lay down the British olive base with an airbrush, pick out the recesses and details with washes and a dry brush, and weather the chassis with pigments for dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
