Revell Basic-Color - primer in a spray can, 150 ml

Revell Basic-Color is a primer in a spray can of 150 ml, meant as a base under the top color on plastic models and accessories. It leaves a matte, fine, light gray film on which the following color holds considerably better and covers more evenly, even when it is a shade with poorer covering power. The primer also evens out a surface made up of different materials - plastic, filler, photo-etched parts, resin - and mercilessly reveals forgotten scratches, sanding marks and imperfectly filled seams while they can still be fixed easily.

Use

• Shake the can thoroughly for at least a minute before spraying
• Degrease the model and let it dry completely; spray from a distance of roughly 20-30 cm
• Apply several thin coats rather than one thick one - a heavy coat floods the detail and runs
• Once dry, check the surface, fix any flaws and sand lightly
• The following color can be applied a short while later, once the base has become tacky

Who it is for

For every plastic modeler who wants the paint to hold and to look good - from beginners who spray paints from a can to advanced builders working with an airbrush. Universally usable on accessories in resin, 3D print or metal as well, where paint usually does not hold on a smooth bare surface.

Safety: extremely flammable aerosol; the container is pressurized and may burst when heated. Do not spray into an open flame or onto sources of ignition, and do not pierce or burn the container. Protect from sunlight and from temperatures above 50 °C. Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated space; it irritates the eyes and the vapors may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Keep out of the reach of children.
