This injection-molded plastic kit from the Polish manufacturer Mistercraft represents the ground-attack version of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8. The Polish manufacturer supplies it as a reboxed kit from an older mold with decals for several marking options. The model suits builders who do not mind a simpler kit and a little cleaning up of the parts.
The Fw 190 F was the attack and ground-support version of the proven fighter, adapted for supporting ground forces. Compared with the fighter machines it had reinforced armor on the lower fuselage and racks for bombs; the F-8 version was among the most numerous and was deployed above all on the Eastern Front. The aircraft was powered by a BMW 801 radial engine.
Clean up the parts and join them with liquid cement for plastic; with an older mold expect to remove flash and possibly to fill seams. Apply a primer, paint with an airbrush and lay down a gloss varnish before the decals. Ground-attack machines tended to be heavily worn, so weathering suits the subject.
