A set of workable individual track links in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. It is an accessory, not a complete tank kit — the set contains the individual plastic links of the Diehl 570P type, which assemble into workable tracks that faithfully reproduce the sag of the real track. It is intended for models of the German Leopard 2 main battle tank in the A5 and A6 versions.
The Leopard 2 is a German main battle tank built by Krauss-Maffei. The A5 and A6 versions were given a reworked wedge-shaped applique armor on the turret; the A6 additionally received a longer 120 mm gun. The Diehl steel tracks are among the characteristic features of the running gear on these machines.
Cut the links carefully from the sprues and clean up the sprue nubs. Assemble the tracks and let them run freely over the road wheels and the drive sprocket before painting; being workable, they will take a natural sag over the return rollers. Once the base color has been sprayed, bring the tracks out with a wash, a metallic sheen on the contact surfaces and dust pigments.
This is an accessory, not a complete tank kit. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
