Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of a figure scene from the Haunted Manor line in 1:12 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle or of an aircraft, but a horror-flavored scene kit which includes a figure motif as well as elements of scenery. The Polar Lights brand has long devoted itself to kits based on film and horror themes.
Haunted Manor is a series of kits set in a haunted mansion, in which each item captures one scene of its own. Beside this one the manufacturer also makes further parts of the line, so they can be built as a set and made into a connected display. Thematically it is classic horror iconography: vampires, tombs, cellars and the night atmosphere of an old manor house. The 1:12 scale is usual with figure kits and gives the finished model a fairly large and clearly visible figure.
With figure scenes the painting decides more than the accuracy of the gluing. It pays to paint the parts separately first and only then assemble the whole. Build the flesh tones from a darker base toward lighter coats, and bring the textiles out with a dark wash in the folds and a dry brush on the edges. The elements of scenery, that is stone, wood and masonry, will be brought to life by matte shades, pigments and local dirtying. For a horror atmosphere a pronounced contrast between a dark base and a few light accents works well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
