The Harrier GR.7 was a British single-seat attack aircraft of the second generation of the Harrier family, capable of vertical and short take-off thanks to the vectored thrust of a single turbofan with rotating nozzles. Compared with the older machines it had a larger wing of composite materials, markedly higher external load capacity and equipment for night attack, which included a targeting and navigation system with an infrared sensor above the forward fuselage. The aircraft operated from improvised surfaces as well as from the decks of ships, which is reflected in its robust landing gear arranged in tandem with outrigger wheels at the wingtips.
The key things on the Harrier are the rotating nozzles and their symmetrical setting: set them at the same angle on both sides. The air intakes call for careful cleaning up of the internal seams. Mask the cockpit glazing before spraying. Glue the plastic with a thin cement and apply the camouflage with an airbrush after a primer. Settle the decals onto a gloss varnish and even the whole thing out with a matte varnish and a restrained wash into the engraved lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
