A rich green water-based acrylic shade from the Hobby Color line. A vivid green for civilian equipment, vehicles and mixing other tones.
Responsibility details are not available.
This green tone is deliberately vivid and saturated, not a camouflage color. It is the kind of green worn by agricultural machinery, road-going tractors, municipal equipment, racing bodywork, fire extinguishers in some countries, as well as sports jerseys on figures or toys in scenes with a civilian setting.
It suits military camouflage only in exceptional cases, since that works with muted, gray-shifted tones. In a mixing palette, though, it has an irreplaceable place: adding black or brown produces convincing dark greens, a drop of yellow shifts it toward spring grass, and blue gives a tone approaching shallow-water sea.
The rich green works well on bushes, young foliage and small accents meant to bring a scene to life. We recommend applying it over a limited area and keeping the rest of the vegetation more muted, or the whole scene will flatten into a single uniform color. A practical approach is to first base the green mass in a dark tone and only then apply the vivid shade from above with dry brushing, where sunlight would fall.
It can be thinned with water or with thinner from the same brand. Highly saturated pigments of this kind tend to let the base show through in a thin coat, so a white or light gray base is recommended. It handles hand application well, and brush strokes disappear once dry. Close the bottle carefully, since with water-thinnable formulas dried residue on the thread can eventually keep the cap from closing properly.
