A plastic kit of the German Type VII C/41 submarine in 1:350 scale from AFV Club. The model can be built as a full-hull version or in a waterline version. The guns can be built in several positions and the railings are available in plastic and in photo-etched form.
The Type VIIC/41 was a slightly modified version of the most widespread German submarine, the Type VIIC. It had a strengthened pressure hull allowing a greater diving depth and lightened machinery, which offset the added weight of the hull plating. Type VII boats formed the backbone of the German submarine fleet in the Second World War.
Decide in advance whether you are building a full-hull model on a stand or a waterline version for a diorama. It is worth using fine photo-etched railings, priming the model and painting it with an airbrush. Transitions and traces of service are refined with light washes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
