An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat training version of the Hawker Hunter in the large 1:32 scale. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted and represents the version with a markedly rebuilt nose in which the instructor and the pupil sit side by side. The large scale gives room for the detail of the cockpit and the landing gear, so this is a kit for those who want to see a model through, not just put one together quickly.
The Hawker Hunter was a British single-engined jet fighter aircraft with a swept wing and a Rolls-Royce Avon engine which in the 1950s became one of the most widespread types in the Royal Air Force and gained a number of foreign users. The two-seat T.7 version came about for training: the nose received a wider cockpit with side-by-side seats, which sets the type apart visually from the single-seat versions. The T.7A designation was carried by machines modified for specialized crew training; in external shape they hardly differ from the T.7.
On the two-seat version it is the cockpit that sells the model — paint and fit it before you close the fuselage, and count on the fact that in 1:32 everything really is visible under the large canopy. Mask the canopy and glue it with a cement intended for transparent parts. On jet aircraft it pays to check the fit of the air intakes and to refine them with putty and sanding before painting. Apply the decals over a gloss varnish and go over them with a matte or semi-gloss overcoat according to the scheme you choose.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
