Aires 1:32 F-14A Tomcat cockpit set is a resin detail set that replaces and refines the cockpit of a plastic model of the F-14A Tomcat fighter.

This is not a model of an aircraft but a demanding detail set for experienced modelers. The box from the Czech maker Aires holds precisely cast resin parts, usually complemented by pre-painted photo-etch, which replace the cockpit of the plastic F-14A Tomcat model in the large 1:32 scale. The result is a faithfully rendered interior with instrument panels, seats and side consoles.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat carrier interceptor of the US Navy with a variable-geometry wing. The A version was the first production variant and became famous for carrying the long-range AIM-54 Phoenix missiles.
Wash the mold release residue off the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter, do not snap them off. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding, because resin dust is harmful to health.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
