The 1:72 McDonnell F-4E Phantom II Easy Click is a plastic kit from Revell in which the parts are joined by clipping them together. Glue is therefore not necessary.

The kit belongs to the Easy Click range, which Revell built on joining parts by clipping them together. The parts fit into one another without glue, so even a beginner or a child under supervision can build the model, and that without thinners and without waiting for joints to dry. A more experienced modeler can reinforce the joints with plastic cement for safety and spray the model as usual; the Easy Click range does not rule that out in any way. For aircraft 1:72 is the most widespread scale, so the finished model fits well into an ordinary collection.
The F-4 Phantom II is a two-seat twin-engine fighter and bomber. The E version differs from the earlier versions above all in a built-in 20 mm rotary cannon in a lengthened front fuselage and in revised radar equipment. The aircraft was marked by its characteristic geometry, that is the dihedral outer wing panels and the anhedral horizontal tail surfaces. The type was used by a whole range of countries and in many of them it stayed in service for a very long time, which showed in a wide spectrum of finishes and markings.
Before clipping the parts together, check that the sprue attachment points are cleaned up carefully, otherwise the joint will not seat. Fingerprints mark the clear cockpit parts easily, so pick them up through paper or with tweezers. If you want to paint the model, it is more practical to spray the larger assemblies before putting them together, because once clipped some places are hard to reach. A coat of gloss varnish under the decals helps avoid silvering around the edges. Details such as panel lines are brought out by a thin wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The parts are joined by clipping them together, so glue is not necessary. Paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
