A-20G Havoc LööK 1:32 is a finished Eduard instrument panel for models of the American attack aircraft. The relief form does away with hand-painting the dials.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is neither a kit nor a photo-etched set for a whole cockpit, but a finished instrument panel in 1:32 scale from the LööK range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is fitted into the cockpit of a Douglas A-20G Havoc model in place of the original plastic part. The panel comes in three-dimensional relief with a finished color scheme, so hand-painting the dials and their bezels is done away with — the very work on which building a cockpit usually stalls. Check how many layers the set has and what else the package contains against the details given on the box.
The Douglas A-20 Havoc was an American twin-engined attack and light bomber aircraft with tricycle landing gear. The G version differs from the earlier forms in its solid nose with fixed gun armament instead of a glazed bombardier's station. Power came from two Wright R-2600 radial engines. The machine was used for attacks from low altitude and was valued for its good handling and speed.
Try the part dry first. Depending on the kit, the original plastic panel may have to be thinned down or removed entirely, so that the new panel sits at the right depth and does not get in the way of the canopy. Glue it spot by spot with cyanoacrylate or with glue for photo-etched parts, not with solvent cement for plastic. Do not paint over the relief surface — if you want to tone the sheen down, use only a gentle matte clear coat away from the faces of the dials. The detail will stand out if you darken the surroundings of the cockpit with a thin wash.
