AK Grass Tufts — AK Basing Bits (AK interactive)

A set of grass tufts designed to bring life to figure bases, dioramas, and gaming tables. This is not a model or a kit — these are finished decorative elements that you simply place on the scene. The set includes 22 tufts in various shapes and sizes, made of resin using 3D-printing technology. The pieces are ready for immediate use, so there's no cutting or lengthy preparation. The tufts can be freely combined, letting you create anything from sparse growth on broken ground to lush vegetation.

Use

• Decorating figure and miniature bases — a quick way to bring an otherwise empty surface to life.
• Building dioramas and terrain features for a gaming table: road edges, cracks, wall and tree bases.
• Pick up the tufts with tweezers, position them on the scene, and glue them — ideally with cyanoacrylate (super glue) or PVA (white) glue.
• Once glued, the tufts can be painted and blended with the surrounding scene; dry-brushing highlights the tips, and a wash deepens the shadows.
• Mask the transition between the tuft and the base with static grass, sand, or pigment so the tuft doesn't look artificially stuck on.
