This set from Quinta Studio offers colored 3D interior decals for models of the German Kübelwagen Type 82 light utility car in 1:35 scale. The individual elements are printed on decal backing paper, have a genuine three-dimensional relief and an accurate color finish, so once seated they look like carefully painted and shaded parts. The set is cut for the Meng Kübelwagen kit with the manufacturer's part number VS-016.
They are applied by the wet method: the part is cut out, dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the backing paper. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on a gloss clear coat, which you apply to the surface beforehand; do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as their chemicals attack the printed resin. The set is also completed with small 3D-printed resin parts for the most exposed details of the cabin.
Using them markedly shortens the time needed to paint the interior by hand and brings a level of detail that is hard to reach with paint and a brush. It is not a resin kit and not a photo-etched set but layered colored decals.
