Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Dassault Mirage 2000C in 1:48 scale from the German manufacturer Revell. The package contains two marking options of French units and a set of external stores; the manufacturer rates it among the more demanding kits intended for more experienced modelers. The finished model is around thirty-two centimeters long, so on a shelf it makes a striking piece.
The Mirage 2000 is a single-engine tailless aircraft with a delta wing, with which the French design school returned to a proven layout, this time with fly-by-wire controls that compensate for the natural instability of the airframe. The power comes from a single SNECMA M53 turbojet. The 2000C version is the single-seat fighter variant intended for air defense, armed with cannon and air-to-air missiles. It entered service in the mid-1980s and, besides the French Air Force, a number of other countries operated it.
Finish the cockpit and the nose landing gear before closing the fuselage. Tailless aircraft tend to be light at the rear, so check in advance whether the model sits down on its tail and if necessary add weight in the nose. The gray finish of French machines has several shades and the boundaries between them are soft: spray at lower pressure and at a distance from the surface. Assemble and paint the stores separately and fit them only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
