The Fokker E.II / E.III masking set in 1:32 scale from HGW makes it easier to paint this famous German monoplane of the First World War accurately.
Responsibility details are not available.
This self-adhesive masking set in 1:32 scale is intended for a model of the German fighter monoplane the Fokker Eindecker in the E.II and E.III versions. It is neither a kit nor paint: these are precisely cut masks that bound off the markings and the fields of color during painting and ensure sharp transitions without laborious masking with tape. The HGW brand has long concentrated on masking sets.
The Fokker Eindecker was a single-seat monoplane controlled by wing warping and, as one of the first aircraft, carried a machine gun synchronized to fire through the propeller arc. It was precisely to that advantage that it owed its period of superiority over the Western Front at the turn of 1915 and 1916, known at the time as the Fokker Scourge. The first German fighter aces flew it as well. The E.II and E.III versions differed above all in their engine and their endurance.
Stick the masks onto perfectly dry, smooth paint. Lay them down with tweezers, press the edges against paint creeping under them and spray thin layers at right angles to the edge. Once the paint has dried, lift the mask off while it is still flexible. Residues of adhesive can be removed by a gentle polishing.
The masking set does not contain paints or the model. It serves as an aid in painting, unless stated otherwise.
