The Schwimmwagen Type 166 was a German light amphibious cross-country vehicle of the Second World War period, technically related to the VW concept and derived from the Kübelwagen. Thanks to all-wheel drive and a swing-down propeller it could cross water obstacles as well. Reconnaissance, signals and engineer units used it for moving through difficult terrain.
First assemble and paint the interior and the lower part of the body before the body is closed up, because once it is glued there is no access to those details. It is a good idea to spray the body with an airbrush, to bring out the panel lines with a wash and to finish the surface with dust and mud pigments for faithful weathering of a cross-country vehicle. Separate the small parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
