Bronco T17E1 Staghound Mk.I is a plastic kit of an armored car in 1:48 scale, with two finishing options.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the T17E1 Staghound Mk.I armored car in 1:48 scale from Bronco. The box is two options in one: the vehicle can be built either in the standard Mk.I form or with the Canadian field conversion, in which the vehicle carried launch rails on the turret for 60-pound aircraft rockets. The manufacturer rates the kit among the more demanding ones because of the quantity of very small parts.
The Staghound was an armored car that the United States built exclusively for British and Allied units; the American army never took it into service itself. It had four-wheel drive, two gasoline engines and a roomy body. The vehicles served with reconnaissance units in Italy and in northwest Europe, and for many years after the war as well. Launch rails for aircraft rockets were standard Royal Air Force equipment, and some units fitted them themselves onto the turrets of armored cars and onto tanks in order to gain immediate heavy fire support. On Staghounds this conversion is associated with a Canadian reconnaissance unit and is dated to the winter of 1944 and 1945.
Decide at the start which version you are building and sort the parts according to the instructions. Cut the very small parts off with a sharp blade while they are still on the sprue and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Paint the chassis and the inside of the body before you close the body up. Fit the rocket rails last, so that they do not get bent.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
