An injection-molded plastic kit of the BM-21 Grad rocket launcher in Armed Forces of Ukraine service in 1:72 scale from ICM. The package contains the parts for assembling the complete vehicle with its launcher and a decal sheet with two variants of Ukrainian pixel camouflage, including registration plates and insignia.
The BM-21 Grad is a Soviet 122 mm self-propelled multiple rocket launcher on the chassis of an off-road truck. It carries a pack of forty launch tubes that can be turned in elevation as well as in traverse, and it fires a full salvo in roughly twenty seconds. Development of the system began at the turn of the 1950s and 1960s, and the Grad is still among the most widely used rocket artillery weapons in the world.
Before closing up the cab and the superstructure it pays to assemble and paint the interior parts. Use liquid cement for plastic on the joints, and an airbrush and a primer for laying the camouflage down evenly. Mud and dust effects with washes and pigments will give the vehicle the realistic look of combat service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
