A set of seats for models of the German Sd.Kfz. 250 half-track carrier in 1:35 scale, intended for the Dragon and Das Werk kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sd.Kfz. 250 was a German light armored half-track of the Second World War, used for reconnaissance, for liaison and as a weapons carrier. The fighting compartment is open at the top, so the whole interior is visible on a finished model, and the seats in it are among the first things the eye catches. In kits they tend to be rendered as coarse plastic parts without any upholstery detail and with thick backrest edges.
The package brings replacement seats in 1:35 scale with fine surface detail and with thinner edges than injected plastic allows. The set is drawn for the kits from Dragon and Das Werk, so the parts fit their hull dimensionally without any alteration to the shell.
The parts are not polystyrene, so cement for plastic has no effect on them. They are glued with super glue, and a two-part adhesive helps on larger contact areas. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder carefully so that the shape is not damaged. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, otherwise the paint may not hold. The particular procedure for preparing the parts is given in the manufacturer's instructions. Paint the seats and give them a wash before you glue them into the hull; once the compartment is closed you can no longer reach them comfortably.
The set is for modelers who take the open fighting compartment to a faithful finish. It contains only the seats; the kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
