An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet ML-20 artillery system of 152 mm caliber in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The box holds the carriage parts, a turned metal gun barrel and a photo-etched fret; follow the instructions for the exact number of parts.
The 152 mm howitzer-gun M1937 (ML-20) was a Soviet heavy artillery system built from the end of the nineteen thirties. It combined the qualities of a howitzer and of a gun, and it was deployed above all as corps and army level artillery through the Second World War. It was marked by a split-trail carriage and a distinctive muzzle brake.
On a gun, take care over the exact assembly of the carriage and the moving parts; the turned metal gun barrel gives the model both rigidity and a realistic look. Use liquid modeling cement on the plastic, even the surface out with a primer and lay the paint down with an airbrush. Metal and hard-worked surfaces come to life with washes and fine dust, and the model stands out in a diorama with its crew.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
