This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:48 scale brings the German Panther Ausf. A medium tank with the pattern of the anti-magnetic Zimmerit coating molded in and with a fully detailed interior. The box includes the engine compartment, the transmission, the fighting compartment and the inside of the turret, link-and-length tracks, photo-etched and metal parts and decals for four options. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Panther was among the most important German medium tanks of the Second World War. The Ausf. A version came in 1943 and brought a number of changes to the turret and the commander's cupola. The anti-magnetic Zimmerit coating protected the armor from magnetic mines being attached to it. The combination of a powerful 75 mm gun, sloped armor and good mobility made it a respected opponent.
Paint and pick out the full interior before you close the hull and the turret, otherwise it will stay hidden. Glue the link-and-length tracks section by section and let them hang with a natural sag. Pick the molded Zimmerit out with dry-brushing and pigments; use mud and dust effects on the running gear. Glue the metal and photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
