A product for rendering a water surface in a diorama, a 100 ml package. By its name it is aimed at wild river water, that is at a flowing stream.
Responsibility details are not available.
A water surface is the most conspicuous area in a diorama of all, because it alone reflects its surroundings and draws the eye before a figure or a vehicle does. This product serves to create it: it is poured into a prepared channel or hollow and once set it holds the shape of the surface. The name points to wild river water, that is to a stream flowing between rocks, not to a calm pond. The package holds 100 ml.
First prepare the bed. The color of the bed determines the resulting color of the water more than the product itself does, so paint the channel in advance, darker in the middle and lighter toward the banks, and let it dry perfectly. Then seal the base carefully, so that the liquid does not run out through the joints of the baseboard. The thickness of a single layer, the drying time and any mixing are stated by the manufacturer on the packaging; follow them. Deeper water is generally better built up in layers than in a single pour. Try the procedure on a piece of scrap board first, so that you know how the surface looks once dry.
Credibility comes only from the contrast between calm and broken water. Rapids, white foam around rocks and a wet sheen on the bank are added with separate products once the surface has set. It also helps when something rises out of the water: a rock, a log or the wheel of a bogged-down vehicle.
The baseboard, the paints and other materials for building a diorama are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
