The publication Capturing Clervaux: The Final Hour on the fighting for the Luxembourg town of Clervaux in December 1944. This is a book, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A publication devoted to the fighting for the Luxembourg town of Clervaux in December 1944. The subtitle refers to the closing phase of the defense, that is to the last hours in which the Americans still held the town. This is a title of modeling literature, not a kit or an accessory for a model.
Clervaux lies in northern Luxembourg, in hilly country that was cut through in December 1944 by the German offensive in the Ardennes. The town with its castle found itself directly in the path of the advance and its defense fell to units of the American 28th Infantry Division, which at that moment were holding a thinly manned stretch of the front. The fight for Clervaux is among the episodes that show the character of the whole offensive well: an unexpected onslaught, encircled knots of defenders, winter weather and the struggle for the road junctions on which the further German advance depended.
For modelers who build dioramas and want a real story underneath a scene, and for readers with an interest in the closing phase of the war in western Europe. It will also come in useful as an addition to a library on the subject of the Ardennes.
The package contains the publication. A model, parts and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
