0.7 mm Hexagon head screw is a set of imitation hexagon head screws of 0.7 mm size. It replaces the most common type of screw joint on models of vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A hexagon head is the most widespread type of screw on vehicles, so this accessory finds a use on practically every model, from gearboxes and flanges through fender mountings to covers and lids. A molded detail tends to be simplified into a round bump and often disappears altogether during cleanup; a replacement part is fitted into a drilled hole and the hexagon stays legible even under paint. The 0.7 mm size given in the name is the second finest step of the range offered.
The 0.7 mm size corresponds in 1:35 scale to roughly 25 mm of real size, in 1:48 to about 34 mm and in 1:72 to approximately 50 mm. In the large scales it is therefore an ordinary engineering screw, and in the small ones a pronounced feature. The same range also covers the sizes 0.5, 1, 1.2 and 1.5 mm, so the steps can be combined according to the type of joint.
It suits builders of vehicles, artillery and civilian machinery and anyone who wants to bring the look of screw joints into line across a whole model. Work with tweezers, a sharp knife and a pin vise is assumed.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and a pin vise are not included in the package.
