Brengun 1:144 Fw 190D Dora is a photo-etched detail set for a plastic kit, not an aircraft model. According to the name there are two sets in the box, that is material for a pair of models. Target kit: Platz.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket accessory from the Czech maker Brengun for the Platz plastic Fw 190D model. It is not a kit but frets of photo-etched metal parts. According to the name the box holds two sets, which matches the fact that kits in this scale are often sold two to a box.
The Fw 190D, nicknamed Dora, was the version of the German single-engine fighter with a liquid-cooled inverted V12 engine in place of the radial used until then. Because of that it has a markedly lengthened nose and rear fuselage, so it is told from the older short-fuselage versions at first glance even in a small scale.
The most common reason why paint later flakes off the photo-etched parts of a finished model is grease. The fret is protected by a thin film from the factory and picks up grease from your fingers during handling. Before building, therefore, rinse the parts with alcohol or dip them briefly in a degreasing bath, and from then on pick them up only with tweezers. Next comes a thin coat of primer, sprayed if possible, because a brush clogs the detail on small parts. Only over the primer come the covering shade and any interior color. Use super glue only once the primer has dried; the joint is cleaner that way.
The set is an accessory to a plastic kit, which it does not include. The parts are supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the model itself are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
