Resin castings of the standard reinforced concrete fence in the version designated PO-2m. The set contains separate fence slabs and footings, so you put the fencing together exactly according to the plan of your scene, including corners and entrances. The designation with the letter m sets this version apart from the basic type, and the manufacturer offers both variants side by side, so that a modeler can choose according to the real subject. It is not a model of an airplane or a vehicle, but a diorama accessory in 1:144 scale.
Standard concrete fences consist of cast slabs slid into separate footings. They were mass-produced units that made it possible to enclose a large area quickly and to move the fencing if needed. They enclosed airfields, technical and storage compounds, industrial works and construction sites. It is one of the most typical elements of the Eastern European environment and on a diorama it immediately establishes where the scene takes place, without a whole building having to be built.
Wash the castings in lukewarm water with dish soap, so that the release agent is removed. Sand the casting remnants away wet and with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue; first seat the footings into the terrain and only then fit the slabs, so that the fence does not stand crooked. Start the painting with a gray base, add lighter and darker patches, a dark wash in the joints and a dry brush on the edges. Rusty staining and a mossy tinge at the foot link the fence to the base. Do not forget both sides, as a fence tends to be weathered differently on each side.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
