The set contains turned and photo-etched metal parts faithfully reproducing the US Army antenna base of the MP-48 type in 1:16 scale. It is not a model of a vehicle but a detail accessory for building American military equipment; thanks to its sturdy metal construction it can also be used on working RC models. It is made by the Polish company Aber, a specialist in metal details.
The MP-48 antenna base was part of the radio equipment of American army vehicles. It held the whip antenna on the hull of the vehicle in a springy mount. In 1:16 scale the fine details stand out that a plastic casting usually cannot catch.
Clean and degrease the turned and photo-etched parts before gluing. Use cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) for assembly; for a stronger joint on an RC model a mechanical fixing is worth considering as well. The metal takes fine sanding and polishing. Apply a primer suitable for metal before painting.
This is a supplementary metal set, not a model in itself. The base kit, the antenna, glue and paints are not included in the package.
