Aviattic 1:24 four-color lozenge pattern for lower surfaces (faded) — a full-width decal sheet with the faded lower variant of the German camouflage of aircraft fabric from the First World War.

A decal sheet from Aviattic with the four-color lozenge pattern in the faded version, made for the lower flying surfaces of models of First World War aircraft in 1:24 scale.
Real aircraft were covered with strips of printed fabric of a fixed width, laid side by side across the wing ribs. A sheet printed in the full width of the pattern copies this principle faithfully: you cut strips from it just as factory workers cut a roll of fabric, and the model thus gains the correct direction, width and alignment of the polygons. It is precisely on the broad lower surfaces of the wings of a large model in 1:24 that this effect shows most — and the faded shades give it an authentic, worn look.
Measure large areas out beforehand and prepare the strips for the whole surface so that you do not lose the alignment of the pattern halfway through the work. Lay them on a smooth gloss base, settle them with a softener and push the air out carefully. A faded pattern is then beautifully completed by fine washes in the recesses and a final matte coat.
This is a decal sheet — the model, varnish and other accessories are not included in the package.
