MASTER 1:24 pitot and angle-of-attack probe for the Harrier GR.1/T.2/AV-8A/AV-8C are turned metal parts replacing the plastic probes on the model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of accurate turned metal parts from the manufacturer MASTER in 1:24 scale for models of the early versions of the Harrier: GR.1, T.2, AV-8A and AV-8C. It contains a pitot tube and an angle-of-attack probe. It is not a model of the aircraft but a refining accessory replacing the plastic probes from the base kit.
The Hawker Siddeley Harrier was the first successful combat aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing. The early GR.1 and T.2 versions served with the Royal Air Force, the export AV-8A and AV-8C with the United States Marine Corps. The long nose pitot and the angle-of-attack probe are striking details of the nose.
The metal parts separate cleanly from their carrier and are glued with cyanoacrylate into pre-drilled holes in the nose. Metal holds paint better once a base coat has been applied. Fitting fine parts belongs among the last steps of the build.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
