The figure named Liesel with the designation G.I.H (Germany Infantry Hunter) is one of the striking characters of the retro science fiction Front46 series, in which the manufacturer MAiM develops a fictional world of its own. It is a collector's science fiction figure in 1:24 scale, supplied as an unpainted casting to be cleaned up, assembled and painted.
The Front46 series combines the aesthetic of the middle of the 20th century with fantastic machinery, with mechs, bunkers and figures of an alternative history. Everything takes place in an invented universe, so the figure is a rewarding basis for a science fiction diorama: in 1:24 scale you can combine it with the other props of the series, from bunkers to head sets, and build a complete scene with a story of its own. Thanks to its size and character it also holds up as a display case piece on its own.
Wash the casting to remove any mold release residue, clean the parts up carefully and bond any joints with super glue (cyanoacrylate). After priming, choose layered acrylic paints; the contrast between matte cloth and metallic-looking elements of the gear will give the figure conviction. Oil washes will bring out the recessed detail, and lightening the edges gently will support the modeling. Protect your airways when working on a sanded casting.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
