Responsibility details are not available.
An animal figure in 1:24 scale. It is not a kit of equipment, but an accessory for a scene: a farm animal for a rural diorama, for a yard, by a sty or by a farmhouse. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Check the contents of the package once it arrives.
Farm animals are among the most underrated accessories of a diorama. While military equipment and figures describe a scene, an animal inhabits it — a viewer senses without thinking that someone uses the place. A pig is also rewarding in modeling terms: it has a simple volume with no complicated gear, so the whole effect stands or falls with the painting of the skin and with the way you settle the animal into the ground.
Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, cut off the remains of the gates and any supports and level the surfaces with a file and fine abrasive paper wet and with respiratory protection; glue resin and printed parts with super glue. Do not paint the skin of a pig a single pink shade — start from a muted flesh tone, add a purple or gray cast in the shadows, white in the highlights, and lay a thin reddish glaze on the ears and the snout, so that the blood underneath shows through. Finally, work the animal into the ground: muddy the legs, the belly and the flank with a dark wash and pigment, ideally so that the muddy traces carry on onto the base as well. It is precisely that link that joins the figure to the scene.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
