This is a precisely turned metal gun barrel in 1:25 scale from the manufacturer RB model, intended to replace the plastic gun barrel of the basic kit of the Tiger I heavy tank in the early version. The metal gun barrel has a faithful profile and a sharp muzzle, and there are no mold seams to clean up.
The Tiger I was a German heavy tank of the Second World War armed with the long-barreled 88mm KwK 36 gun, feared for both its penetration and its armor. The early version can be recognized among other things by the details of the gun barrel and of the muzzle brake.
Degrease the metal gun barrel and treat it with a primer for metals before painting so that the paint holds well. Fitting it into the turret is usually straightforward; watch the alignment. Metal takes fine sanding and polishing and imitates a steel surface faithfully.
