The 1:3 Mk.12 Mod 0/1 SPR Rifle is a finished collector model of a rifle in 1:3 scale from the maker Easy Model. It is supplied assembled and painted, ready to be displayed.
Responsibility details are not available.
The model belongs to the range of finished collector pieces from Easy Model. It arrives assembled and painted, so nothing is glued or sprayed and buying paints and tools falls away too. The size corresponds to 1:3 scale, which is roughly a third of the dimensions of the real subject. Compared with the usual modeling scales that is a large object, on which even the smaller design features are clearly apparent.
The abbreviation SPR denotes a special purpose rifle in 5.56 mm built on the foundations of the AR-15 family. Against standard carbines it has a longer and heavier barrel housed in a free-float handguard, a layout that improves accuracy because the barrel does not touch the rest of the structure. The weapon is used with optics and the sights are usually folding and supplementary. The designations Mod 0 and Mod 1 distinguish two configurations that differ from one another mainly in the handguard and in supplementary equipment, not in the principle of operation.
A longer real subject means a longer model, so count on it needing a clear shelf with no obstacles. It looks best horizontally, or slightly tilted on a flat stand, so that the whole profile of the barrel and the handguard is visible. Protect the model from direct sun and remove the dust with a soft brush, which does not catch on projections. Damp and large swings of temperature do the model no good; ordinary room conditions are ideal.
The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted. It is not a weapon or a functional replica; it is a non-functional model intended for display.
